Can Sugar Wax be used for sensitive areas like bikini and underarms?

Yes. Sugaring is made for sensitive areas. It’s so gentle on the skin that it’s gotten a reputation as the BEST method of hair removal for sensitive skin and sensitive areas.

What is in the Sugar Wax made of?

Sugar, organic lemons and water! That’s it. All of the ingredients are natural and responsibly sourced. Even the processing is so clean that you can eat the sugar wax.

What type of hair does it work on?

Every type of hair; fine, coarse, long and short. You only need about half the length of a grain of rice to effectively remove the hair.

How much hair can I remove with one lump of sugar wax?

A lot. Each lump of sugar wax can be used 8-10 times to remove hair from an area. So it depends on the size of your lump.

How hard is this to use?

It’s easy enough for a 10 year old to use. But for most people it takes a few tries to get the hang of it. So be patient with yourself. Not only do we create and share an endless amount of tutorial videos and demonstrations but we want you to succeed at sugaring and provide all of our customers with FREE one-on-one video calls with our sugaring experts. How much time does it take to Sugar?

When you’re new to sugaring, the process is slower. But even if it takes you an hour to sugar your legs, you’ll only have to do it every 4-6 weeks.

Why are strips not used for this technique?

You don’t need them because the sugar holds together. You also get a lot more use out of your sugar wax when you can reuse it 8-10 times.

What age is appropriate for Sugaring?

You can start sugaring at any age because our formula is safe. No burns. No overstripping the skin. We have customers that use it for their kids as young as 10

Does sugaring hurt?

Sugar wax doesn’t stick to living skin so you barely feel it when you remove the hair. If you’ve never removed hair from the follicle the method doesn’t matter, you’ll feel it.

Is the Sugar Reusable?

Yes. You can reuse it 8-10 applications in one session. You’ll know when it’s time for a new piece because the wax will soften and won’t hold together as well.

What if my Sugar is too Hard?

Sugar wax is supposed to be applied at room temperature. If the wax is so hard that you can’t move it. Pop it in the microwave for 5-10 seconds to soften.

What if my Sugar is too soft? How do I know if the Sugar is too soft?

Sugar wax gets softer with every application from the heat of your skin. Try sugaring during a cooler time of day; morning or evening.

How do I clean up the Sugar?

Water. Sugar wax is water soluble. Warm water will dissolve it, and cold water will harden it so you can peel it off.

Is Sugar Sugar Wax Vegan Friendly and Cruelty Free?

Yes. We love all furry creatures and don’t intend to ever use them in our products or test our products on them.

Is this safe to use while I am pregnant?

Absolutely. During pregnancy your skin is sensitive and absorbent. What you put on your skin matters tremendously. Sugaring is gentle enough for a baby bump.

What do I do if I am sweating while Sugaring?

Sweat and any form of water gets in the way of the sugar wax sticking to hair, so turn on the AC, grab a fan and use the Detox Dust drying powder to absorb excess moisture.

How will sugaring effect my tan and or sunburn?

Sugar before, not after time in the sun. The exfoliation will give you a fresh canvas to sun and your tan will last longer.

How long does my hair need to be for sugaring?

The length of half of a grain of rice. As long as the hair you see on top of the skin is longer than the root under the skin you’ll have enough leverage to remove it.

Why do I need Detox Dust Powder?

Water gets in the way and doesn’t let the sugar wax stick to hair. You need to keep the skin dry while sugaring. Especially sweat-prone areas like underarms and upper lip.
