How do I check my reading glasses strength?
There are a few ways to test this: 1. Use the "Online Reading Test" here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1NTzX1RdYhvgLiOgI1VALuh6C_H6cuZmE/view?usp=sharing Download the reading test. Open it and “Maximise” the photo. Sit about 40cm away from the computer screen, read the text (without any glasses) until you begin to experience difficulty reading. Refer to the number to the right of the sentence to determine the strength that you need.

How to adjust my glasses to fit better?
You can adjust the bend of the legs so that your glasses fit tighter. Once the leg is heated it becomes more flexible and able to be bent, then when it cools it stiffens again. You can heat it up with a hair dryer for about 15 seconds. Once it is heated, bend it slightly for a tighter fit. Alternatively, you can straighten the leg, and then re-create your bend on the leg a bit further up if required.

Our Story
After a Decade of Seeing Patients with Broken Glasses in the Eye Clinic, I Created Owly Eyewear
After over a decade of experience in the eye-care industry seeing patients day in and day out, I realized that the eyewear industry had not changed much. The styles of glasses were much the same, being given to patients in their big bulky cases. I would see numerous patients time and time again who would come in with broken glasses, complaining of their glasses being uncomfortable, heavy or unclear.
I remember one patient who was searching through her bag and brought out 5 pairs of broken reading glasses! It just seemed frustrating and inconvenient. In search for a more innovative, minimalistic and effective range of eyewear, Owly Eyewear was born.
Why Owly? Well, owls have amazing vision. They symbolize wisdom inspired by their big eyes and solemn appearance. They're also very cute!
