Are Rip Tie Hair ties latex-free?

Rip Tie Hair ties are handcrafted from natural rubber elastic with nylon thread wrapped over it for style and comfort. Because of this, they are not considered a latex-free product.

Rip Tie Hair Ties were first handcrafted by Founder Sarah Fox. As demand grew, we expanded production to certified facilities in China to bring tangle-free hair ties worldwide—while maintaining ethical working conditions and rigorous quality standards. Based in San Diego, CA, Rip Tie ships locally from Pico Rivera, CA. Our Chinese facilities hold BSCI certification for ethical practices, and our ISO 9001 certification ensures strict quality controls from production to delivery. Every Rip Tie is designed to be high-performing, responsibly made, and backed by our commitment to transparency.

Rip Tie Hair was founded in 2022 by Sarah Fox, a passionate surfer and SCUBA diver.

"The idea for Rip Ties came to me while I was working at a scuba shop in Guam and constantly struggling with tangled hair after every dive.

There were so many products on the market that fixed already tangled hair, but nothing to stop it from tangling in the first place! I created the first prototypes of Rip Ties and gave them to my SCUBA friends. Soon they were using them for everything- motorcycles, hiking, the gym- you name it!

In 2022 I officially launched Rip Tie, because lets face it, everyone with long hair knows the struggle of keepign in tangle-free!"
