FAQs
What is the caffeine content of yerba mate vs coffee?
Our drinks contain 160mg of naturally occurring caffeine for the entire can - that’s slightly less than two cups of coffee.
What is yerba mate?
Yerba Mate is a tea made from the naturally caffeinated leaves of the South American holly tree. It has the same healthful chemicals found in tea, chocolate, and coffee, but is not acid-forming and creates uplifting emotions after digestion. Yerba mate also contains potassium, magnesium, amino acids, and powerful antioxidants. CLEAN Cause sources our yerba mate from Brazil.
What is recovery housing and why is it important?
Safe, supportive housing is a major need for people just starting the journey in recovery. Recovery housing is a key component of the continuum of recovery support services. It is not “just housing.” It is a key part of the continuum of care that people recovering from a substance use disorder should be offered to support long term recovery and keep them well.

Our Story
The Road to Recovery
Let's be honest, most people experiment with drugs in their younger years - the difference for Wes was that once he started, not only could he not stop, he had no desire to. Through his 20s and into his early 30s, he managed to build a successful cupcake business grossing nearly $2M at its height. Yet he was under the influence of drugs and alcohol daily. His addiction spiraled out of control in a 35-Vicodin-a-day habit.
He knew his addiction would take his life and it was time to get CLEAN. Wes's entrepreneurial spirit persisted and he knew he was destined for more. He recognized that he could turn his story of hopelessness into redemption. He set out to create a space to help others reclaim their lives and get on the road to recovery and CLEAN Cause was born.
