Pan's Mushroom Jerky is a mushroom snack. Shiitake mushrooms are rich in umami, a savory earthy flavor also found in beef, cheese, soy sauce, and seafood. Also, shiitake mushrooms have a fleshy and fibrous texture that provides a satisfying chew. For these reasons, shiitake mushrooms make for a satisfying jerky! Please note, Pan's Mushroom Jerky isn't trying to completely imitate beef, and you should expect to experience the shiitake mushroom flavor and texture come through in our product.

Our Story
When I Tried My Family's Mushroom Snack, I Knew I Had Something Special to Share with the World
I discovered this snack in 2006 during a trip visit family in Malaysia. My family is Buddhist and follows a vegetarian diet, so how could they be snacking on something so meaty and satisfying? I finally realized… it was a mushroom!
This was something special, a decades-old family recipe, yet nothing like this existed in the US. I started working on Pan's in Portland OR. I knocked on grocery store doors, asking them to carry Pan's. Fast forward to 2023, and Pan's is now carried in over 2,500 stores as well as online.
Our vision for Pan's is to offer more delicious and satisfying foods made from mushrooms. We are proud to offer a snack that satisfies vegans, flexitarians, carnivores, and everyone in between. We hope you enjoy Pan's just as I did when I first tried it all those years ago!
