FAQs
How long will this last?
Shelf life is 3 years from date of jarring. The best buy date is stamped on the bottom of the jar. Serve at room temperature. Top off with olive oil to preserve shelf life (if there's any left!). Refrigerate after opening. Clouding is normal when cold. Don't discard the remaining oil! It is now a Giardiniera infused olive oil and it’s delicious! Use it for dipping sourdough or a French baguette… Marinate or sauté meat and vegetables… Use it as a cooking oil… It’s limitless - What will you do with it?!?
How is it made?
Our ingredients are cut and diced from fresh, never frozen, non-GMO vegetables. The mixture is brined, then pickled, then set in extra virgin olive oil. We use extra virgin olive oil because it is cold-pressed and left unrefined. Extra virgin olive oil has a better, more natural flavor to it. A lot of store bought giardiniera is made with soybean oil which reduces the flavor, drags down the taste and makes it seem a little "plasticky". By adding extra virgin olive oil to our mix it allows Ronnie's Giardiniera to become much more universally usable as an everyday condiment and works on everything from eggs to pizza.

What do you mean by "with a kick"?
Since this is made of NINE different peppers (some hot, some sweet) along with other vegetables, it'll have a spicy/heat level of around 5/10. It's the perfect amount of heat that hangs around just long enough but won't jolt you out of your chair - it just gives you a little nudge to let you know that it's there.

Our Story
Bringing the Missing Condiment to the Masses!
A part of me died when I moved to Seattle from Chicago in 2008. No matter how hard I tried, I could not find square cut thin crust pizza with a sweet sauce. Hot dogs topped with sport peppers and mustard - Nope... Italian beef sandwiches with giardiniera - Nothing... I had to do something... I truly missed the Holy Trinity of Chicago foods -- pizza, hot dogs & Italian beefs. Around this same time, I realized I was missing my favorite pizza topping and the all around ultimate condiment - GIARDINIERA! It took me well over a decade to get it right, and when friends and family starting praising the pursuit and persuading me to make batch after batch, I knew I was onto something. The process started in 2022 and finally became a reality in 2024, hitting shelves and selling out FAST!
