Does DIMO share my data with third parties?
No. You always maintain control over your driving data. DIMO never shares it with insurance companies, dealerships, or banks—only you can. You’ll continue to earn weekly rewards regardless of what you choose to share. Private data is stored securely on the DIMO Node and only shared with third parties at your request.
How do I install my DIMO device?
First, download the app and follow the prompts to set up your account. Then bring your DIMO device and phone to your car and follow the step-by-step instructions—for example, those for the DIMO LTE R1, AutoPi, or Macaron models.
What data will I get for my car?
Most connected cars display dozens of real-time data points, though some may start with less. DIMO is continuously working to add more data for every vehicle. If your car shows limited data initially, your patience is appreciated.
Will DIMO drain my battery?
Some vehicles will alert you to anything being plugged into your OBD2 port - but DIMO is not hurting your batter int any way. Anything you plug into your car - even just charging your phone in a USB port - will "drain" a tiny amount of your battery. This does not impact your battery performance, and once you turn your car on, it will charge back up. It would take years of your car never being turned on, for DIMO to actually drain your battery.
How do I earn rewards?
