Returns

We hope that you love your dividers and are excited to create some amazing gift boxes, but if you decide this is not for you, you have 30 days to return your items. The customer will be responsible for paying the shipping costs.

FAQs

What kinds of gifts will this work for?

Anything that fits inside a standard shirt box will work. Items can be slightly taller than the 2" box height, but the lid may sit a bit higher. It’s great for disguising recognizable gifts like cell phones, jewelry, video games, earbuds, DVDs, ties, books, or even a new car key. You can also create multiple sections inside the box—as long as the items fit within a shirt box footprint.

Will these dividers work with any shirt box?

Not every shirt box is the same size. The dividers are designed to fit the boxes sold with the product (15" x 9.5" x 2"). Some shirt boxes are shorter—around 14.25" long—but the long dividers include a hinged end that folds to accommodate those. While it won’t fit every box on the market, the hinge gives you more flexibility.

Where are the dividers made?

The injection-mold tool was produced by Comet Die in Elmhurst, IL, and the dividers themselves are manufactured in St. Louis, MO by MDS Manufacturing. The Disguise The Surprise company is also based in St. Louis, MO.

Are the dividers reusable?

Absolutely. The dividers are designed to be reused for birthdays, holidays, or any gifting occasion.

Can the dividers be recycled?

Yes. The cardboard shirt box can be recycled, and the dividers are made from homo polymer polypropylene, a #5 recyclable material.

Our Story

My Mission is to Help People Eliminate the Stress of How to Keep Their Gifts a Surprise!

As a mom of teenage boys, I became frustrated when wrapping gifts. The gifts they wanted came in very recognizable shaped boxes (cell phone/AirPods). If you hand it to them wrapped in the original box, they know what it is by the shape, ruining the surprise.

Gift-givers no longer need to stress about how to keep their gifts a surprise with these dividers! This includes men gifting a small jewelry box! I quickly realized the dividers can also be used to curate customized full gift boxes.

Sticking a gift card in an envelope is popular, but Disguise The Surprise encourages us to slow down and put genuine thought into our gestures. That’s what this is all about…the smiles, the laughter, the love. Disguise The Surprise made its way to The TODAY Show and featured on several local TV stations.
