Returns
We offer a 30-day return policy for unused products. The mounting arm is a 1-time use component of LapLok which voids the return warranty if used.

How does LapLok attach to my laptop?
We provide an ultra-thin, semi-permanent mounting arm that stays permanently fixed to the bottom of your laptop. This doesn't impede the user experience whatsoever as we include rubber mounting feet to prevent any rock or wobble while using your laptop.
Is LapLok a very secure laptop lock?
The short answer is yes. With our 20+ years of anti-theft & security experience, we would only release products that would hold up to the grab-and-go thief. It’s important to note that anyone can bypass EVERY security product with enough time, talent, and tools. We always recommend using common sense when in high-risk scenarios.
LapLok has a super strong gripping mechanism. Does it damage tables?
We have tested LapLok on dozens of different table types. In regular use, LapLok does not cause severe table damage as we use a custom, soft but sturdy rubber padding on the foot of the clamp that grips the table.
Does LapLok work with a laptop case?
We would not recommend using LapLok with your laptop case. Based on our internal testing, if a grab & go thief were to grab your laptop off the table, and it was attached to your case, the case would quickly snap off & break.
What types of devices will LapLok work on?
LapLok can retro fit all tablet's & laptop models. Additionally, LapLok can be used in other use cases such as locking down different items to fixed flat surface. Think of a TV stand at a tailgate event or an expensive speaker system at an outdoor festival. The possibilities are endless.
Do you offer bulk discounts for businesses or schools?

What is the battery life of LapLok?
With normal usage of 2-3 times per week, we estimate a 3-year battery life. LapLok includes standard button-cell lithium batteries.
Will LapLok void my computer warranty?
No, we have inquired with several manufacturers. Because we are on the laptop's exterior (like a sticker), we do not affect its operation. However, you must not install the arm strap over the laptop vents to prevent overheating as this will overheat your laptop.
What's the size & weight of LapLok?
LapLok is slightly bigger than a full-sized smartphone and weighs just under 1lb. Part of our innovative design was to make something strong but also small & convenient. LWH of LapLok is 3.4" x 0.9" x 5.7"
What if I forget my pin code?
We require all users to register their pin on our website. We can then automatically resend your pin code. However, we suggest you store your Pin on your smartphone with your other important passwords. We can only remind you of this code if you register.

After spending 8 years in cyber security, I discovered the alarming stats around the impact and cost of laptop theft. With 1,600 laptops stolen daily leading to $4 Billion in annual losses and 1-in-10 identity theft victims we knew there had to be a better way hence why we created LapLok.
As a busy business professional that was always in shared workspaces & coffee shops I found myself in a sticky situation. Do I leave my valuables unattended so I can use the restroom or step outside briefly. Or do I pack up all my stuff, risk losing my spot, and have to reboot my laptop.
