Our Story
Mini TV was born out of frustration — and a little bit of nostalgia.
A few months ago, our founder Mat came across what looked like the perfect gift: a tiny retro TV that played his favourite cartoons on loop. It captured the kind of joy you can’t fake — simple, silly, comforting. He bought one immediately.
What arrived in the mail, however, was something else entirely — a cheap, unrelated trinket from a seller running a widespread online scam. The product didn’t exist, and the scammer vanished into the digital abyss.
But instead of giving up, Mat decided to build the product he wished he’d received.
He sourced the parts, designed the interface, and worked with a small team to bring the idea to life — a real, working miniature TV that plays actual clips, looks like it’s straight out of a 90s bedroom, and feels every bit as magical as it should have been the first time.
Today, Mini TV stands for real nostalgia, made real. It’s a celebration of the shows that shaped us — The Simpsons, Family Guy, Rick & Morty, South Park, Bob’s Burgers — and the feeling of simpler times when Saturday mornings and theme songs were all that mattered.
