Why is Wi-Fi Motion Sensing Different?
Most motion sensors are PIR based....meaning they respond to changes in light and are required to be in a specific position to capture motion. Wi-Fi sensing measures disruption in Wi-Fi signal as a way to establish motion in a broad area. Wi-Fi does not see walls, so we eliminate blind spots. Just like you can take your phone from one room to another and still be connected, anywhere the plugs connect to Wi-Fi, they can sense motion.

Will Motion work with my Wi-Fi Router?
Motion will connect with most routers using 2.4GHz
How many kits do I need?
For most people, one kit, which contains three plugs and creates a Motion Zone up to 1500 sq ft, will be enough. If you have multiple floors, you may want to consider adding another kit.
Will this work in large spaces?
Yes! The system works best when the sensors are placed strategically to detect movement throughout your home.
Does it require professional installation?

Hi! I’m Jacob, and with nearly a decade in the consumer products and technology space, I’ve always been interested in data privacy, and how technology can allow us to connect more deeply as people. A couple years ago, someone dear to my heart suffered a fall. Fortunately, they are okay now, but this scare kickstarted my quest for non-invasive, privacy-first monitoring — or at the very least, a way to let concerned caregivers know their loved ones are okay. This is when we began to build Threshold Care. The Threshold Care team has a combined 20+ years of experience in commercializing AIoT products and services, with numerous CES Innovation Awards under our belts.
