Our policy lasts 30 days. If 30 days have gone by since your purchase, unfortunately we can’t offer you a refund or exchange. To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging.

No. This insert is designed to prevent new clogs from forming. Existing buildup should be cleared first.
How do I know when it needs to be replaced?
If water begins draining more slowly than usual, it’s time to remove and replace it.
How long does each one typically last?
Most last between two and four months, depending on how much hair goes down the drain.
Can it be reused?
Yes, it can be reused if you’re comfortable cleaning off the collected hair.
What happens if I forget to remove it on time?
Hair will continue to collect below the drain. In rare cases, removing the drain cover may help with removal.
Will it rust in the drain?
No. It’s made with rust-resistant stainless steel and durable materials designed for wet environments.
Why isn’t it catching much hair yet?
It only catches hair that would normally cause clogs deep in the pipe, so collection may be gradual at first.

Our Story
Created from A Family of Five Daughters All with Long, Flowing Hair, the Drain Wig Was Invented out Of Necessity
It all began in 2013 when two strands of dental floss slipped down the shower drain. Thinking there was a gopher in the drain, Jennifer had Gifford remove the shower cover only to discover that the floss had tangled into a large ball of hair. From this, the DrainWig was born.
Since then, DrainWig has gained global recognition for its innovative design, earning features on various platforms, including a notable appearance on Shark Tank (Season 9, Episode 6, 2017). Jennifer and Gifford secured a deal with Kevin O'Leary after receiving multiple offers. Following the episode, they brokered a five-year licensing agreement. Now, with their five daughters grown, Jennifer and Gifford are poised to reclaim the business and manage it as a family once again.
Meet the Daughters
Growing up, us daughters were deeply involved in the creation of the DrainWig from the very beginning. As kids, we were primed and prepped to lend a hand, spending countless evenings helping assemble DrainWigs alongside our parents. Attending trade shows became a family affair, giving us a front-row seat to the hard work and innovation behind building a successful product. Today, as adults, our role has evolved into rebranding the company and infusing it with fresh ideas and a new perspective. Together, we’re excited to continue the family legacy and take the business to new heights.
