How do I heat my Ergostone?

Ergostone can be heated in several different ways. In a microwave, regular kitchen oven or boiled in a water bath. Power and time vary depending on your heat source. Experiment until you have identified a method that works for you and your heat source. We recommend 2.5–3.5 minutes at full power (700w) in a microwave or 70–100 degrees in a regular oven. Never heat your Ergostone with the case on!

How do I cool my Ergostone?

Place your Ergostone in the refrigerator, freezer or ice water bath until the desired temperature is reached. Time will vary depending on your Ergostone's initial temperature and cooling method. Your Ergostone should be at room temperature before placing it in your refrigerator or freezer.

How do I clean my Ergostone?

Wash with soap and water and/or clean with 70% alcohol-based hand sanitizer.

What sets Ergostone apart from competing products when it comes to performance?

Our Story

We Recycle the Jämtland Heritage

At the foot of Storulvån in Jämtland, Ergostone produces products designed to increase people's well-being. The soapstone left behind at Handöl's disused quarry is taken care of and ground down to a fine sand. The mineral has very good thermal properties, which gives the products their heating and cooling properties. The high density of the sand means that the product embraces the body like a warm hug. The silicone that surrounds the sand is very elastic and easy to clean.

We have chosen to dig where we stand, to make use of material that has already been mined and that now stands in the way of nature's return around the old quarry. With our production stationed here in Handöl, we want to create hope and help rebuild a depopulated part of Sweden.

The legacy of soapstone mining in Handöl in Jämtland stretches back to the 16th century

A local production of soapstone into household items, ranging from pots to stoves, has been going on in Handöl for over 500 years. For the past 100 years, this industry has been the main source of income for the residents of the area. In 2013, production ceased when the soapstone factory was closed, which has led to a large depopulation of the town.

By combining the heritage of soapstone processing with the old health tradition in Jämtland, we want to give new life to Handöl's proud history.
