Motivo Scar Care Roller Serum forms a protective barrier on the scarred area to prevent and minimize the formation of new scars, decrease the appearance of old scars, and help to restore the function of healthy skin.
When can I start using this?
Begin using Motivo Scar Care Roller Serum as soon as the wound has fully closed (e.g. skin is healed and there is no oozing, crusting or irritation in the area). Treatment with Motivo Scar Care Roller Serum for post-surgical scars may typically begin approximately 1 week after stitches or staples are removed or when cleared by your physician or surgeon for use. For existing scars, as long as your skin is intact and no wounds or irritation is present, you may begin using immediately.
How long will it take to see improvement on my scars?
Treatment duration will vary per individual and depending upon the type of scar, as well as many other factors. Initial results can be seen in as early as 4 weeks, with full results visible after 1 year. People heal at different rates, so for some people, it may take longer than others to see results. Larger and older scars may take longer, therefore continued use is recommended if the scar continues to improve after the initial 90 days. Individual results will vary.
What types of scars does this work on?
Motivo Scar Care Scar Tape can be used to prevent and minimize the appearance of hypertrophic (raised, red) scars and keloids. It can be used on scars resulting from surgical and cosmetic procedures, trauma, wounds, acne, and burns, and it can be effective on old or new scars. Motivo Scar Care Scar Cream also reduces redness, itching and discomfort associated with scars. Individual results may vary.
Can I swim, shower, or exercise with Motivo Scar Care Roller Serum?
Motivo Scar Care Roller Serum is not waterproof and will wash off during exposure to water, such as showering and swimming. Please be sure to reapply Motivo Scar Care Roller Serum after exposing the scarred area to water. You may use Motivo Scar Care Roller Serum during exercise. After exercise please feel free to reapply as needed to the scarred area. Please be sure to clean the scarred area before reapplying.
How do I apply this on my skin?
Ensure that the affected area is clean and dry. Apply a very thin, even layer two times a day (morning and evening) over the scar area. Motivo Scar Care Scar Cream is quick-drying. Allow to dry completely. Once dry, Motivo Scar Care Roller Serum can be covered with pressure garments (e.g. Motivo Scar Care Scar Tape), clothing or cosmetics. If the affected area is subject to abrasion, it may be beneficial to repeat the application midday. Wait 15 minutes before sun exposure.
