Our Story
How This Mortifying Moment Will Save You from Nausea—and Embarassment
When I was expecting my first baby, I had terrible morning sickness. One thing that really helped was acupressure wristbands. Unfortunately, the only ones on the market at the time were sweat-band style, ugly and conspicuous. I was not yet ready to share the news of my pregnancy with my coworkers, so I tried to hide the bands under my suit sleeves. One day, however, the wristbands peeked out and a male colleague recognized them. “Hey!” he called out, loudly enough for everyone to hear, “I didn’t know you were pregnant!” That was the moment I first thought: “acupressure bands that go undercover as jewelry!" I created Blisslets to be a product people would actually want to wear, whether for pregnancy, sea sickness, anxiety, or other nausea: one that works, feels good, and looks good too.
