"My Feelings Are Valid" Locking Prompt Journal for Tweens

Empower tweens to understand and express their emotions with confidence.

Growing up means big emotions—and during puberty, the brain re-wires itself, bringing countless changes all at once. The “My Feelings Are Valid” journal helps tweens navigate this transition with guided support for naming, understanding, and responding to their developing emotions. Based on Dr. Robert Plutchik’s Emotion Wheel, it includes daily prompts for reflection and a free-write space for unprompted journaling.

Each journal lasts 12 weeks and features weekly check-ins that encourage honest conversations with a trusted adult when negative feelings persist—helping kids seek support sooner rather than later. The vegan leather locking cover ensures privacy and is refillable, so they can continue journaling through every stage of growth. Designed to promote mindfulness, self-awareness, and emotional resilience, this diary gives kids the tools to manage their feelings and build lifelong confidence.

Our Story

Emotional Awareness is Gender-Less Teach Everyone Healthy Emotional Expression Early in Life

When I was growing up, I was terrified of writing in a journal because of all the movies at the time where the girls journal was stolen and exposed to the whole school. I refused to give anybody any reason to ever put me on blast. Now with social media, having a safe space to explore your emotions before they're public is more important than ever. I read far too many stories of parents whose kids are so good at hiding problems that they hit a breaking point and need urgent help before anything is noticed. By giving tweens and teens a safe place to get their thoughts together and encouraging them to reach out to a trusted adult after just *1* week of feeling mostly negative emotions, I hope to help a generation of kids grow up to be emotionally resilient and knowledgeable individuals.
