GuardaVent protects against injuries that can be caused by open vents, giving you peace of mind in any room where kids play. It also keeps large objects out of the vents to prevent costly HVAC system damages.
It easily attaches to the inside of the vent without damaging flooring. The lid opens for installation and cleaning, with two childproof tabs to lock it in place when closed. It's also allows for you to fully adjust airflow. Don't settle for compromised safety or unsightly floor vents!

Returns
We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to complete a return. Shipping costs for returns are the customers responsibility. Once we receive the returned item in new condition, we will refund the order.
FAQs
1. Will this work for pets?
Yes! It might even work for some adults...once a GuardaVent cover is secured to the floor with the screws we provide, a pet will definitely not be able to lift the tabs to open it at all.
How do I know what size I need?
You need to measure the size of the vent opening in the floor. If it is at least 3"x10" or 4"x10", these vent covers should fit! We also reccomend measuring the distance between the top of your floor and where you could screw into the subfloor, as the space on the vent covers for a screw has room for up to 1" down.
I'm worried my toddler will still be able to open this!?
The plastic we use is very strong, and the two tabs that need to be pulled back to open the lid are very small and hard for small fingers to grasp. We also find that once a baby or toddler realizes that it's not an easy things to grab and run with, they very quickly will move on and forget about it!
These cost more than many of the plastic vent covers at the store - are they really worth it?
There is no other vent cover that will do what this one does. Because of all the moving parts needed to make it childproof, it costs more to manufacture. I also designed, patented, and manufacture this product myself as small business, I am not backed by a big company or any big box stores. Plus, it gets made in Canada so you know it is fair trade and done right!

Our Story
I'm a mom on a mission to eliminate vent trouble once and for all!
It started when my 7 month old who had just learned to crawl, pulled one of our vent covers off. Once he did it, he kept going back for more, and it was really scary for me because of the screws and sharp sheet metal that was around the vent that he could hurt himself on. Then his sister came along and did the same thing when she learned to crawl, I started to get REALLY annoyed. Naturally, I looked to google to find a simple childproof vent cover that I could install and solve all my problems. But when the answer I wanted couldn’t be found on Google, or Amazon or at Home Depot - the wheels in my brain started turning - and that's when GuardaVent was started! I've designed this vent cover for to make life easier for parents, and safer for kids! Made in Ontario, Canada :)
