Why should I be cleaning my indoor plants?

Unlike outdoor plants which are exposed to wind and precipitation, indoor plants collect dust and debris, hindering photosynthesis and inviting pests and diseases. Regular cleaning promotes better purification, oxygenation, and appearance.

How often should I clean dust off my plants?

Based on location and plant type, it is advisable to clean your houseplants every 1-3 weeks.

What type of plants is the Leaf Sweep used for?

The Leaf Sweep is designed for virtually any houseplant which collects dust and can be wiped clean, including faux plants. Example plants include palms, ferns, broadleafs, trailing & vine, tropical and even some species of succulents - such as snake plants.

Can I use the Leaf Sweep with water or other liquid solutions?

Yes, when using the Combo Covers, the Leaf Sweep is ideal for use with liquids. Its design is intended for products such as neem oil solutions, insecticides, leaf care sprays and conditioners. Dampen covers with the solution or spray the leaves directly.

How does the Leaf Sweep remove dust without damaging leaves?

The Leaf Sweep is made with soft microfiber which gently lifts and trap dust while protecting the integrity of your plant’s leaves. The tool is also intentionally designed with a low torsion spring, allowing you to control the amount of pressure depending on the leaf type. Made of plus coral fleece, the Dusting Covers are ideal for the removal of dust and other fine particles from highly delicate leaves.

Can the Leaf Sweep remove pests and treat diseases?

Absolutely. The Leaf Sweep was designed to eliminate pests and disease when used with any number of treatment solutions such as neem oil, a natural insecticide. Pest infestations can also be prevented by pre-treating plants with insecticidals and maintaining clean and healthy leaves with regular Leaf Sweeping. Note: Always wash or swap out covers after treating diseased plants to prevent transfer to other plants.

The journey began in San Francisco during COVID where, after losing far too many houseplants to pests and disease, we conceived of a leaf care innovation more effective and efficient than conventional wiping.

The first prototypes for GOHA's flagship tool, the Leaf Sweep were made from household items, and development took off from there. We collaborated with incredible designers, engineers, and plant experts to create the ultralight, durable, and functional tool that exists today.
