Its Automagic Mode covers a range of thoughtful settings including Energy Save Mode, Housekeeping Service, Bubble Boy Mode and more. Mila helps you prep the bedroom for an allergy-free sleep with settings like Whitenoise Mode that lets you fall asleep to the sound of ocean waves, as well as a Turndown Service Mode, which gives your blast of clean air before your sleep when allergies tend to be most active.
In addition to its smarts, Mila is personal. Unlike most air purifiers that come with a one-size-fits-all filter, Mila comes with seven unique air filters using true HEPA + carbon designed to solve a specific need (pet dander, allergies, etc.). FAQs
What are Mila's dimensions?
Mila measures in at 11.8” x 11.8” x 15.5” and can be set up anywhere. We generally recommend about 11.8" of clearance on all sides for maximum airflow (if possible). Air is sucked in through all 4 sides and the bottom of the unit, filtered, and clean, fresh air is distributed through the top vent.
Does Mila require a WiFi connection to operate?
While Mila does not require WiFi, it’s a lot cooler if you use Mila with WiFi. 🙂 Some of Mila’s smartest functions require a Wifi connection (e.g., Using the Mila App), but Mila can operate in Manual Mode and Automagic Mode completely offline via the on-device controls.

Mila works best when there's some clearance around the unit (11.8" (30 cm).
Is Mila suitable for homes with pets?
Absolutely, Mila is pet-friendly! More than that, one of our interchangeable filters includes the fan (and pet) favorite, [Critter Cuddler](https://milacares.com/filters/critter-cuddler). Like each of our filters, the Critter Cuddler is purpose-built specifically for households with pets in mind. This filter includes a Mila Sock to catch any larger particulates, fur and dander, and also includes carbon that’s specially designed to filter out ammonia. P.S. Mila is also bird approved!
Can Mila air purifiers filter out smells and odors?
Yes, Mila air purifiers can filter out many smells and odors. Humans can detect certain odors at very low concentrations, sometimes even below the thresholds detectable by VOC sensors. Our filters are proven to be effective against a wide range of common household odors.

As fathers living in Shanghai, our founders Grant, Dave, and Charles got up close and personal with the impacts of urban air pollution. Between nasty chronic coughs and weekends cooped up indoors, we saw firsthand how the smog affected both the physical and mental wellbeing of our families—and decided to do something about it.
