What color temperature is the LED?
The Nightside lamp uses a 3000k warm white LED, which we find offers the best balance in terms of creating a warm glow through the shade but also comfortable light for the spotlight. The color is comparable to an incandescent bulb.
What is the CRI (Color Rendering Index) for the LED?
CRI or Color Rendering Index is measured at 85, which is very good for accurately representing full color.
What are the product dimensions?

How do I wash the fabric shade?
Follow our Support instructions on our website for how to remove the shade from the lamp. Hand washing and air-drying are necessary to avoid shrinkage.

Our Story
My Quest to Design the Perfect Reading Lamp
As a bedtime reader, my wife and I were always negotiating over when I would turn out the lights. She's a light sleeper and I tried everything: book lights, head lamps, even reading on a device. But none of it was comfortable. Finally I realized I needed to invent something better. I thought about theatrical spotlights and how they achieve super-focused, bright yet even light.
So I started playing with optics and created a projection system that used only a single LED, so it would create a soft glow around the lamp itself, but could also magnify that light to create a powerful spotlight. After a few years of prototyping, the Nightside lamp was born. We are proud of the results and our customers love the product, calling it "genius" and "a perfect thing".
