Frank Fragale

Our Story

Our Story

In 1971, Frank Fragale immigrated from Italy with his family. As a young boy he followed his father closely, learning how to design and construct landscapes and at the same time learning masonry. His father used multiple tools to achieve a project exposing young Frank to a wide variety of tools. Over time Frank’s craft strengthened and so did his knowledge of tools.

As a business owner of a Landscaping Company for the last 46 years, his collection of tools grew and grew. The work trailers began to get cluttered while his workers carried multiple tools in the heat of the sun. Frank wanted to simplify the jobs and cut down on the time it took at any one job to unload and re-load multiple tools so he started to invent his own tools as a solution.

The tools we own influence our craft, impact our bodies, and are extensions of our work. Frank’s curiosity of what could be better combined with the knowledge of the industry has allowed for the invention of Yard-X, a multipurpose tool that truly can enhance how individuals work with the land. With one Yard-X tool there are multiple uses: hoe, slice, edging, chop, scrape, cut, rake, smooth, aerate and loosen. Weighing under 4lbs it is truly a terrific useful tool to own. Whether you are a professional, or part time gardener, we hope that you will discover the tool and the many uses it has to offer.
