Our Story
Born from A Midnight Aha Moment
The idea for Midnight Scoop came to me one night around midnight after scooping a lot of hard ice cream for my kids. As an aerospace engineer, I started thinking about how the tool could work better and put less strain on my wrist. I knew there had to be a smarter, more ergonomic way, so I began designing and testing prototype after prototype—often working well past midnight. Those late nights eventually gave the Midnight Scoop its name.
I launched the company in 2013 with a broader mission to rethink everyday kitchen tools through comfort, efficiency, and thoughtful design. Years later, after struggling with uncomfortable, ineffective, and difficult-to-clean pizza cutters while cooking more at home in 2020, I applied that same approach to create the Midnight Slice. I continue to design kitchen tools with the goal of making everyday tasks easier and creating products built to last.
