FAQs

Are these dishwasher-safe?

Absolutely. They also can be washed with standard dish detergent and warm/hot water.

I noticed these are slightly curved. Can they be flattened to scrape food off?

The beauty of the design allows for flattening the blade to remove food. Scrape food off on plates, dishes, pots, pans, etc.

Can these be used for icing?

Absolutely, for cakes and larger baked goods. The CJ model will spread mayo, and the PB model is better for peanut butter.

Will they fit all peanut butter jars?

Every single jar we’ve tested, both large and small, glass and plastic, have worked just great.

What is the smallest can or jar these will work in?

The minimum-sized can is the tomato paste can. It’s a snug fit, which helps with efficient extraction. As for jars: pretty much anything with a 2” opening (or neck). (For tinier containers, we also sell smaller scrapers.)

Can these be used in mixers such as KitchenAid?

We’ve had no problems — but they’re best with batters vs. dough. The main thing to remember is that the scraper blades are rather flexible.

Will these work in cat food cans or tuna cans?

They’ll work, but the sides will be subject to damage. See our CatSpat product for small cans and containers (or icing cupcakes!).

What are the best ways to prevent damage?

Keep the blades away from pull-tab rims and other sharp edges, such as knives. The CJ model will easily slip under the pull-tab rims of condensed soup, etc. Also, keep away from waste disposals and overzealous dogs!

Works so much better than my Pampered Chef spatulas!

They're awesome!

Love, love, love these rubber spatulas. They perfect for every jar, bowl, or container you own to ensure you get every single drop out of it. It's a great value, they work and wash well. It's a no brainer--get em.

Works great! Even on tall Costco jars

John (Verified Buyer) 5/5

My wife was ready to throw this jar away, until I used this spatula. It got almost everything out, probably more than one sandwich! This works great on the extra tall 48oz pb jars from Costco which normal knives struggle to get to the bottom of. But this has no problem.

Good quality

I bake often so these spatulas are a necessity! I have a bunch of these at home for general batter scraping, and these ones are a great set. I love the color, its ease of handling, ease of cleaning, and overall functionality. The different beveled edges are useful for a multitude of bowls and edges so these spatulas really get the job done for my needs.

Our Story

On a David-Vs-Goliath Quest to Prove That the "Big Spatula” Brands Don’t Have Regular Users in Mind

Hi, I'm Chris Rasmussen, CEO and founder of Crazy Dad’s. I invent and bring to market innovate kitchen scrapers. In 2016, while studying for my second master’s degree from home, I was surrounded by my cats 24/7. They LOVE their canned food, and I was dishing it out to them constantly. Problem was, I could never get all the food and sauces out of those cans for my cats to enjoy. Spoons and other spatulas didn’t work. So, I decided to invent my own. My mom and dad were both spatula freaks, and in their memory I created the CatSpat. Later, I talked to others who begged me to make scrapers for peanut butter jars and traditional cans. They hated the spatulas and gizmos they used to stop food waste! That started my 4-year journey to create the 2 Scrape&Save Scrapers.
