No. Airlighters do not come with fuel. Airlighter Fuel or other butane needs to be purchased separately.

Is there a manufacturers warranty?

Yes, the Airlighter 420 comes with an automatic 1-year warranty against any defects. We want you to have an awesome experience so please give us a chance to help you, even if it is out of warranty.

Does the Airlighter use batteries?

Yes, the blower function is powered by 3x AA batteries. One set of batteries will last about 60 minutes, which is a lot of fires!

Can't live without it now

This was gifted to me a few years ago. I wasn't that excited about it and didn't give it a try for several months. I fell in love with it. I ended up losing it somehow in the forest. I missed it dearly for about a year before I replaced it with a new one. It's just great for starting any type of fire or heating something up or searing a steak. It's just a very useful tool once you have it. Kind of like scissors. Just imagine life without scissors. I feel similarly about this thing.

This is the 3rd Fire Bison I have ordered. It started out with one for my husband for Christmas It was such a hit, we got one for my brother in law this past Christmas. Wow! This is amazing. It is something I didn’t even know was missing in my life until I received one as a Christmas gift. The only improvement would be if you could charge it instead of just using batteries but overall this is truly one of my favorite things!

Purchased the lighter a few weeks ago. We have a wood burning pizza oven. Definitely helps get the fire going. The blower comes in handy to ignite new wood. The switch got jammed once but hasn’t happened again . So far works well. I would recommend.

Our Story

Our Quest to Re-Invent Fire Lighting

Our journey started in our farm workshop in upstate NY. The farm is often used as a scenic wedding venue and a fire-pit or bonfire is usually central part of the evening entertainment. We wanted a solution for lighting fires quickly that would not pose a risk to the kids and dogs that would be running around. After making a dozen or more prototypes, we settled on a torch flame and air blower combination that proved to be the fastest, most reliable method, and stayed cold after use. Our mission was accomplished and the Bison Airlighter was born. To this day, Bison is always there playing its part at the farm weddings. And we are proud to be able to offer our customers a tool to make their gatherings a bit easier, safer and more enjoyable.
