Our Story
We Wanted a Better Bonfire
When we lost our jobs during the COVID pandemic, we spent a lot of time at home outside with our kids. We realized that we were spending more time keeping our kids away from the fire pit, instead of enjoying it. So, we invented City Bonfires, the world’s first mini portable fire pits that are safer and easy to light and extinguish!
Mike is an expert in recycling and waste solutions. He wanted to eliminate all the bad things about wood-burning bonfires, like smoke, ashes/soot, flying embers, and having to haul and store wood – hoping it stays dry.
Chris is an entertainment industry veteran and restaurant owner. He wanted an easier way to make bonfires so he could spend more time with family and friends, instead of constantly tending a bonfire.
We took an idea to make environmentally-friendly, portable bonfires from a small garage business to selling over 1 Million around the world!
