RYERCAT Dual Sided Cat Toothbrush
The ultimate dental care tool for cats, designed for comfort and efficiency.
Made for cats! The RYERCAT Dual-Sided Toothbrush is crafted with feline anatomy in mind for a comfortable and effective clean. The micro head features super soft, charcoal-infused bristles to gently brush and neutralize bacteria, while the pick side removes stuck food from the molar grooves.
The curve of the toothbrush allows you to clear the front teeth so it doesn't hit the Jacobson's Organ, which is a very sensitive nerve. It's also made from biodegradable cornstarch, which gives it a matte feel for a secure grip that makes brushing easy.

FAQs
From what age can we use a toothbrush?
It's ideal to start using a toothbrush for your kitten as soon as they have teeth! Getting them used to toothbrushing early will give you such a big head start in developing a dental care routine! By introducing dental hygiene when they're young, you're giving your kitten the gift of healthy teeth and gums for life! If you have an older cat, it's never too late to start. Make sure to watch our youtube videos (linked above) to get you set on the right path.
Care and replacement instructions
Replace your RYERCAT toothbrush every 3 months, just like a human toothbrush (CDC recommended). Rinse bristles before and after each use, let them fully dry, and avoid detergents, as soap residue isn’t safe for cats. Keep control of your cat’s head during brushing to prevent biting. Our toothbrushes are made from softer cornstarch material, so they won’t harm your cat’s teeth if bitten, but excessive chewing will wear them down faster. Check our YouTube course for tips on brushing!
How do I make my cat cooperate when I try to brush their teeth?
Patience and persistence is the key to starting. It’s hard at first, but it will eventually get better - Trust us!! Just start off by putting your cat's favorite liquid treat on the brush and have them lick it off and do this for the first few weeks. This will get them comfortable and familiar with the toothbrush and will help them associate it with positive feelings. Always remember to use positive reinforcement after each brushing attempt.
Is brushing my cat's teeth necessary?
Yes! With any type of diet, there is always a process of bacteria build up on the teeth in what's call a "biofilm" - Even with feeding RAW! We recommend you brush their teeth daily, after getting the "Okay!" from your vet. Always make sure you get an assessment BEFORE you start brushing. Do not start brushing if there is already plaque build up as you could make things worse.
Does each cat need their own toothbrush?
For optimal hygiene, it's best to use a separate toothbrush for each of your cats. Sharing a toothbrush could expose your cats to potential sickness from one another, and we definitely want to avoid any risk of contamination. That's why RYERCAT toothbrushes come in multiple colors—to help you assign a specific color to each cat.
What toothpaste do I use?
DO NOT USE HUMAN TOOTHPASTE ON YOUR CAT. IT IS TOXIC. -- You should try other enzymatic pet toothpastes on the market that are VOHC approved (any brand will do). You can also try coconut oil. Look for toothpaste specifically formulated for cats, as human toothpaste can be harmful to them. Most pet stores or veterinary clinics should carry a selection of cat-friendly toothpaste.
Do I need to rinse my cat's mouth after brushing?
No - you do not need to rinse your cats mouth after brushing. Do not use human toothpaste, but use a enzymatic pet toothpaste or coconut oil. These products do not need to be rinsed out after use. Remember: only use a rice size amount - most of the bacteria breakdown comes from the physical friction of brushing the teeth.

Our Story
How We Created the Perfect Cat Toothbrush!
Samantha & Melanie used to be in the typical cat owners’ shoes: wrestling down their cat, Henry, and dodging claws to brush his teeth.
It was such a fight that they gave up on brushing. After a $2,000 procedure for clean up & extractions, they decided it was time to start brushing again.
The problem? Every pet toothbrush was WAY too big for a cat’s mouth. So, they designed their own based specifically on cat dental anatomy.
