FAQs
What's the difference between your glove and a regular leather work glove?
The answer lies in the thickness of the material. We've tested our gloves against "regular leather work gloves" and found the regular gloves leave behind large amounts of small, leather dustballs and loose leather shavings due to the thickness difference. The regulars don't seem to have the same hair-holding power ours have. Hair stays on our gloves until you remove it by slapping the glove. Others just gather the hair.
What makes your glove better than other grooming mitts on the market?
Furrfighters was not meant to be a pet grooming tool. It's original purpose was to clean pet hair from surfaces. The fact that it also removes hair from pets directly was a side feature we discovered along the way, turning it into literally a multi-use tool for pet owners and non pet owners who struggle with similar debris to hair.
Is your product reusable and how long will it last?
Yes, The Furrfighter Glove is washable. We recommend hand washing with a mild liquid detergent(i.e. Dawn) and laying flat or hang to dry. The glove can be machine washed and dried on a short dryer cycle with low heat but this may adversely affect the glove's fit and performance. (We have machine washed and dried the product in testing with very minimal, if any, adverse effects) The glove has a useful life of approximately one year, depending on how heavily and how often it is used.

An Accidental Entrepreneur for Sure! Literally Stumbled onto This Awesome Solution to A Problem!
I was having this problem with my dogs hair all over my truck, on my firefighter gear and uniforms, etc. One day I noticed the hair wasn't sticking to a particular area on my fire pants but it was everywhere else. A light bulb went off! I cut up some old gear, took that material and started wiping it in my truck, on my dog, clothes, etc and BOOM, my new company, Furrfighters was born! I didn't know anything about retail, manufacturing, textiles, nothing! I was a fireman for most of my adult life. My kids even had to help me with social media and internet things. Since then, there's been different products, different looks but same awesome functionality! National and local media exposure, Hollywood, International sales, retail opportunities and the journey continues to this day! Grateful.
