How Many FurZappers Should I Get?

We recommend One FurZapper per Pet, however, the more the better! Example: If you have four pets then we recommend a total of four FurZappers. Make sure that All of the FurZapper go in your washer while you wash your laundry, and then all of your FurZappers should then go in the dryer while drying your laundry.

Is it safe in my Washer and Dryer?

The FurZapper is not only a safe material, but it stays elastic and pliable even in extreme cold, or heat up to several hundred degrees. Similar ingredients are used in food supply, even baby items. Please keep away from any person or animal who may try to eat it. It sure will not be easy to eat but play it safe and keep in your washer or dryer.

How do I take care of my FurZapper?

If needed, rinse off with water. Add a drop of dish soap if needed. Your FurZapper cleans itself in the Washing Cycle.

These work really well. We have three dogs and hair everywhere. I have noticed huge improvements and reduction in hair on our clothes after washing and drying. I do notice you need to not overstuff your washer and sometimes there is still hair on your clothes but it is a huge improvement. I use two per wash and dryer and do not use dryer sheets as it does impact them from being as effective.

I had these before and didn't feel they worked. This time around I read the instructions... If these don't work for you, that could be why. It states they are both to go into the wash and then both into the dryer WITHOUT dryer sheet. You then can wet them again between uses to get them sticky again. The hair goes into the trap and not all lumped into the pads. Using them correctly this time made a huge difference. It's summer so my dog and cat are shedding a ton. It's been so helpful!

Our Story

My Quest to Eliminate Pet Hair & Fur!

Michael Sweigart, the inventor of FurZapper, was a stay-at-home dad with two dogs, a cat and a house full of pet fur. Michael, a born problem-solver, knew that there had to be a better way to share our homes with our pets without giving up cleanliness and comfort.

Michael developed a prototype with a silicone-based compound that is extremely adhesive, hoping that the fur, dander and lint would gravitate away from laundry and towards the product. He experimented by simply placing the product (subsequently named the FurZapper) in the washing machine along with clothing and bedding with pet fur and dander. When the cycle was complete, he had a load of clean, fur free laundry!
