FAQs
How do I Spleash my leash?
It’s simple. Just grab your favorite leash and attach Spleash using the unique patent-pending design. Spleash does not include a leash, however, it works with any of your existing rope, leather or nylon leashes.
What type of leash fits with Spleash?
Most standard-size leather, rope, and nylon leashes.
How do I know my Spleash is ready to use?
It's ready right out of the box! It may take an extra few moments to engage the spray feature at first. Please have patience with the product and continue trying to use the spray, it should start to function normally after this point.
What should I do with the handle end of my leash?
You should always make sure to use the Spleash as directed and install it 6-8 inches away from the loop end of the leash. Place your hand through the loop end and hold the Spleash securely. If for some reason you lose your grip on the Spleash you are still able to hold onto your pet as you secured the leash to your wrist first.
How much water should I add to my Spleash?
The beauty of Spleash is that you can fill it up with as much or as little water as you need. Whether you fill it up all the way to give your pup a full drink, or only fill it with a few sips of water, Spleash has your back. Holding up to 12 ounces of fresh drinking water, Spleash is an ideal tool for those long walks.
Where/how should I store my Spleash when not in use?
In order to prevent erosion or other messes caused by water left about haphazardly, ensure that the Spleash is empty before storing it. You can do this by draining the Spleash before hanging it to dry. It can be stored by leaving on the leash and hung on a hook or hanging over a door. Leave the plug open so that it can dry out inside between uses. You can also remove from the leash and store laying down. Be sure to empty all water prior to storing it.
How should I clean it?
Because Spleash is used to refresh your pet with fresh drinking water you should never use harsh chemicals to clean it. Clean the device with warm soap and water, and please avoid putting it in the dishwasher.
What is the best way to fill the drinking cup on my Spleash?
The drinking cup was created so that if you remove the plug, flip open the cup, and slowly tilt downward the water will fill the cup but should not overflow. Much like the old-fashioned water cooler bottles it will fill up while the pup drinks, so be careful not to let them drink all of it at once.

Our Story
Why I reimagined the dog walk
One hot California summer, my daughter Kat and I were walking our three dogs when I realized how much equipment we had to gather and manage just to get out the door. I searched for something that would make our walks easier, but when I couldn’t find it, I decided to create it myself. I combined the refreshing spray of a water gun with the stability and control of a leash handle.
Dogs and service animals have also helped me find healing and hope as a trauma survivor. Creating SPLEASH is my way of giving back to the community that supported me through my darkest times, which is why a portion of every purchase goes to PetPartners.org.
