What is Sole Secure, and how does it work?

Sole Secure is a patented slip-on cleat cover designed to protect your cleats, floors, and spaces from dirt, scratches, and unnecessary wear. To put them on, simply insert the toe of your cleat into the front of the cover and then pull it back with 2 hands to stretch over the back bed of cleats.

What sizes are available for Sole Secure?

Each size fits a range of cleat sizes. Our sizes are as followed: Size S: 3.5Y-6.5Y Size M: 7-9.5 Size L: 10-13 *All sizes are listed as mens, if you are converting from womens sizes, subtract 1.5 from the womens size to find which cover would fit your cleats perfectly! Currently, these are the only sizes we offer. Soon, we will be able to fit sizes 1Y-3.5Y with our Size XS covers!

Can Sole Secure be used on any type of cleats?

Yes, Sole Secure is compatible with every type of cleat. Whether that is baseball, football, soccer, lacrosse, golf etc, our covers will be compatible with your cleats. Our product, however, is not recommended for metal cleats, as it will tear through the cover with repeated us. It is usable with metal cleats however.

How do I clean my Sole Secure covers?

Cleaning Sole Secure is simple! Just throw them in the washing machine, or rinse them with water, wipe them down and let them air dry. For tougher stains, use mild soap and a soft brush before rinsing.

My name is Tommy Isernia and I am the Founder of Sole Secure. My journey with this product started in May of 2022, as a recent college graduate weighing the options of taking the traditional path of working a 9-5 or taking the biggest risk of my life and going all in on this business. Thankfully, I chose to pursue developing and building this product and business from scratch. I came up with the idea as a former college baseball player for Farmingdale State College who thought it was a massive headache to constantly have to take my cleats off any time I wanted to gain access into our athletic facility, and having to repeat the process of putting the cleats back on when I was heading back to the field. Over time, not only was it a pain to have to take the cleats on and off repeatedly, but the cleats would wear down the more I walked on non-playing surfaces like concrete pavement. 

So I decided to take action, initially designing our product after slip-on covers for people who work on ice. From there, I took several trips to Home Depot and designed our first ever “prototype” out of Flex Seal and Home Depot flooring. It wasn’t the best design, but we finally had the basis of the product that you see today. From there, fully self-funded, I hired several talented freelancers and engineers from all walks of life to help design the product into what you see today. This journey took more time, patience, ups-and-downs and effort than I ever could have imagined but after countless iterations, Sole Secure was born. Affordable, easy to put on, lightweight, durable enough to last a full sports season, fully customizable, and fit a wide range of sizes.
