Introducing the "patent pending" JOWL recovery split shackle. Our innovative split "J" recovery shackle design eliminates the need for tools or soft shackles while making rope and strap connections faster eliminating the need to remove your shackles from your bumper or hitch receiver to make a connection, hook up a rope or strap out on the trail. Fast TOOL-LESS closed loop recovery finally made easy!
Just open up the Jowl shackle hooked sides, insert your recovery rope or tow strap looped end, rotate the end of the tow rope or strap to engage both sides of the shackle, pull tight and you are ready to recover your stuck vehicle. We designed the Jowl with a D-Ring shackle shape for those off-roaders who prefer a more tradition shackle look on their rigs.

FAQs
What is the towing strength of these split shackle?
Our 3/4 size split shackle has a 10,000b or 5 ton working load limit (WLL) with a 50,000lb or 25 ton minimum breaking strength (MBS) giving it a Factor of Safety (FoS) of 5:1. These things are heavy duty!
Can you combine different colors?
Yes. All parts are interchangable and you can combine the hooks of two shackles to make a color combo. We have 15 colors availalbe which gives you 225 color combination possibilites.
Do they rattle or make noise while driving or offroading?
No. Each split shackle comes with Rattle Rings nylon washers so you can fill the gaps in the middle between the hooks and your mount. They also have anti-chatter pads between the hooks. Between the nylon washers and the pads these are noise free while driving or off-roading if installed properly.
What size is the shackle pin?
The size or diameter of the pin is always 1/8 inch larger than the stated shackle size. In this case the pin is 7/8in (0.875in) diameter for a 3/4 size split shackle. It would require a mounting hole that accepts a 7/8 pin.
