How do you charge the flashlight?

There are two ports on the flashlight. One for charging the flashlight (USB Type-C) and one for charging other devices like phones and tablets (USB Type-A).

How do you use the AAA battery holder?

You place 3 AAA batteries in the battery holder (included with flashlight) and swap it out with the lithium-ion battery (included).

As soon as you hold this flashlight in your hands, you will be able to feel how solid and sturdy it is. This is not like the flimsy, plastic flashlights that I used to buy. For one, its rechargeable! I dont have to worry about the batteries being dead or trying to find some batteries that might work. This flashlight has a rechargeable battery that can run for almost 3 days. It's super bright. It fits easily into my purse or pocket. And.... my favorite feature is the internal powerbank.

This is an amazing flashlight. Besides being able to charge it using a usb port, it has a very powerful light. I'm part of an evening walking group. This flashlight is amazing. I used it on a 4 mile hike in Shenandoah national park on a cloudy night. My buddies and I were shocked when we turned it on and saw how bright it was. Wide angle made the trail look look like daylight in front of me. Twist it to narrow setting and this thing turned into a spotlight, with visibility for roughly a half mile. Felt like military grade. The charge lasted the full duration of the 2 hour hike. It came fully charged and was delivered next day.

Our Story

Why We Created the Observer FL1 – The Ultimate Flashlight

Prior to founding Observer Tools we worked for some of the largest global tool brands, like DEWALT, Stanley, and Craftsman where we developed first-class products loved by both Pro and DIY users. While we enjoyed building and launching tools for these brands, we wanted more – better products and better prices for everyday customers. This is why we founded Observer.

We began by setting out to create the ultimate flashlight, we wanted it to include all the necessary features anyone needs in a flashlight – bright, long beam throw, long-lasting battery. We also wanted to go beyond the basics – we wanted it to be able to serve as a power bank, enable hands-free use, permit continued operation if the battery dies, and stand the test of time. The outcome of that effort was the FL1.
