Luke's Toy Factory 3D Puzzle Trucks

Challenge toddlers & teach problem-solving skills with this Made in USA transforming puzzle.

These may become your toddler's new favorite toy! These fun toy trucks are 3D puzzles with 4-9 parts that assemble into a working truck. Parts can be mixed and matched to extend play value and keep kids endlessly entertained.

They're intended for kids aged 2 1/2 and up who are just outgrowing baby toys but don't have the motor skills to use more sophisticated toys. They are made with 30% maple sawdust upcycled from furniture factories, replacing plastic with organic fiber that otherwise would have been burned of discarded in a landfill.

Every toy is proudly made in the USA and meets or exceeds the toy safety standards for the USA and EU. Colors are molded in, not painted on, so there is no flaking or chipping and no splinters.

FAQs

Why does the package say ages 3 and up? Are there small parts?

There are no small parts, but the toy may be a little challenging for younger children. Every child is different, but the FTC age grading guidelines recommend ages 3 and up, so that is what we put on the package. The dump trucks and recycle trucks are the easiest to figure out and the fire truck is the hardest.

What is the toy made out of?

The material we use is a mixture of maple wood fibers and polypropylene plastic. The wood comes from furniture factories in the mid-west. The wood fiber is bagged and transported to a company in Michigan that uses the wood fiber to replace 30% of the plastic in the toy and create WPC pellets that we use in injection molding machines to mold the parts.

What does this toy teach?

These puzzles are a great way to teach toddlers independent thinking and develop their fine motor skills.

Our Story

Two Father & Son Teams Work Together to Make Luke's Idea a Reality

Kids need to get away from screens and learn to use their hands to build. We decided to make toys aimed at 2 1/2 to 5 year old children. Luke designed a set of trucks that are simple to assemble and give kids a sense of accomplishment.

We decided to make them with a wood-plastic composite so we could use 30% sawdust to reduce the carbon footprint of the toy. We all felt strongly that the toys should be made in the USA. Safety is a big concern to most parents, so we made the toys with no small parts and no surface paint that might flake off.

The colors are molded in, but you can still see the wood particles inside the toys. The parts are made with 3mm walls so they have the weight and feel of a typical wooden toy, but with design details that would be too expensive to make with regular wood.
