Our Story
Our Story
Amy and Kyle founded the Brand Tiki Toss in 2010 and were the first company to bring the hook and ring game to market. Kyle was introduced to the play pattern while living in the Caribbean, shortly after graduating from college. Roughly 14 years later in 2010, they developed an iPhone app, reminiscent of this experience. In a pleasant, unlikely twist - rather than taking off digitally, Amy and Kyle realized a demand for a physical product. The ensuing brand was developed based on the beach, surf and laidback lifestyle that the two enjoyed, but the business was taken seriously. Product development and sourcing partnerships accelerated and millions of units were sold over the following 10 years. Over these years, the product offering expanded to represent other key lifestyle aspects, including Golf and Basketball. In 2021, an acquisition opportunity presented itself and the couple believed that the brand was being passed to reliable hands. Unfortunately, just 3 years later, the acquiring entity declared chapter 11 bankruptcy - leaving Amy and Kyle disappointed and hanging. The silver lining, however, was a release from the contractual, non compete clause. They are back today with the fresh and improved new brand, Island Time Sports! Island Time is truly elevated in comparison to the former brand. From materials, to packaging, design and increased product offerings and a trusted network, the brand is off to an amazing start! Island Time is heavily leaning into the Golf and Basketball genres, with completely unique 1 and 2 player tabletop games that are fun for the whole family and always the life of the party!
